Holiday Workshops

Happy to Be Me Holiday Workshop
Instructor: Angela Colasanti
December 27-29, 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
Join us at Studio B for three mornings of peace, inspiration and creative expression during the holiday season. We will explore themes of personal artistic expression, collaboration and self-exploration with three projects designed to help your child look inward. Each day will feature a unique project including the creation of an Art Journal, a Self-Portrait Power Plaque and a Peace Flag. Ages 7-11.
$80 per student

SPARK IT Workshop
Instructor: Rhonda Counts & Jean Esther
December 27-29, 12:30 pm – 3:00 pm
A 3-day collage workshop introducing various acrylic media and paints to be used in creating a piece of art. The students are requested to bring images that reflect their personal views and thoughts. These images can be inkjet copies (mirror images) of photos, text or from magazines, cards – any printed piece. We will be doing collage work, painting and drawing in creating the artwork. Ages 12-17.
$95 per student

An Art Trip Around the World: Another Exploration

4 Saturdays, Feb. 11 – March 3, 9:30 am – 11:30 am
Join us for a continuation of our first art trip around the world. On this excursion we will explore the artwork and visual themes of new cultures, including Mexico, the Middle East, Australia and others. A guest artist will be invited to join the class for one lesson. New and returning students are welcome! Ages 7-11

SPARK IT for teens
Instructor: Rhonda Counts
First Session: 4 Saturdays, Feb. 11 – March 3, 12:30 pm – 3:00 pm
Second Session: 4 Saturdays, March 10-31, 12:30 pm – 3:00 pm
A series of creative workshops introducing innovative techniques in artistic methods, using various media. The focus is “to spark the creative fire within” the students and challenge them to expand their artistic talents. In each 4-week workshop the students will complete a work of art. Individual instructors will be sharing their knowledge and expertise in drawing, painting, printmaking, photography, and fine crafts. Each week thestudents will be required to do “creative homework” to prepare for the following week’s workshop. Ages 12-17.
$130 per student

Always Abstract
Instructor: Angela Colasanti
4 Saturdays, March 10-31, 9:30 am – 11:30 am
Explore the many forms of abstract art and learn about famous abstract artists. Students will explore 2-D and sculptural media and create various abstract projects using oil pastels, watercolors, acrylics, sculptural media and mixed media. This class will be lots of fun while challenging students to look at their world with a new perspective. Ages 7-11
