Studio B Releases a “Members Only” Coloring Book
and Invites the Community to Color Together
Studio B Member Artist Coloring Books available for $10 at Studio B!
Artists are: Linda Anthony, Susan Biebuyck, Arline Christ, James Doddy, Jean Esther, Steve Fabian, Suzanne Fellows, Ellen Finks, Heather Foust, Gail Fronheiser, Beth Glick, Jack Grebinger, Pamela Hodges, Joe Hoover, Angela Izzo, Pirjo L’Esperance, Alan MacBain, Jim Meehan, Lynn Millar, Joni Peters, Jillian Prout, and Bob Wood.
And while adult coloring sessions are a full-on trend right now, Studio B’s gallery director Susan Biebuyck has added a unique element by creating a coloring book containing artwork offered for the project by Studio B’s artist members.
Researchers and therapists alike tout the meditative calm the activity induces. According to the American Art Therapy Association, creating artwork is used to “explore feelings, reconcile emotional conflicts, foster self-awareness, manage behavior and addictions, develop social skills, improve reality orientation, reduce anxiety and increase self-esteem.”
“Plus, art therapy allows for personal expression,” notes Jane Stahl, Studio B’s director of Community Relations. “We can all use some of all that!”
