A native of Bally Pa, I started drawing at a very young age and am self taught. When I entered Boyertown Senior High school I was very fortunate to have worked under Dave Larson. I started doing wildlife in watercolors and pastels. Upon leaving high school I began drawing portraits in graphite. I continued doing them for the next ten years. In the 1990′s I began to work with an airbrush. I attended a series of airbrush classes and workshops in Manhattan offered by Airbrush Action Magazine. With the knowledge I gained I progressed to working on different mediums, textiles, and wall murals.
After getting married and starting a family I started my own successful residential and commercial construction company (Northstar Building Services Inc.). I used my creativity and innovation in many of my designs. Although I enjoyed the design/ build concept, It did not give me the same gratification as the fine arts.
I have recently retired from contracting and now find myself at a time and place where I can once again pursue my interest in the fine arts. I believe Studio B is the perfect place to pick up where I left off. It will be great to meet other artists again who share the same passion for the arts.
