Kristen Egan is a mixed media artist specializing in sculpture and collage. Her recent sculptures are made from gourds, wood, paperclay and natural materials, finished with acrylics and milk paint. A BFA graduate of Alfred University, Kristen is inspired by nature and mythology, ethnographic art, and the writings of Loren Eiseley, Aldo Leopold and others. Her work explores concepts such as evolution, predator-prey relationships, dream imagery and animal communication. Kristen currently works from her home studio in Berks County, PA.
