A moment in time occurs embedded in either our conscious or subconscious knowledge affecting all moments that follow. Whether it be watching the early dawn hours of the sky, being entranced by the way a collage develops, or facilitating a class in painting, each takes its own pay. With a BFA in fine art from Kutztown University, Patti divides her time between practicing art and teaching at Dieruff High School in the Allentown School District.
Patti seeks to examine those moment in time and capture them in whatever form suits them, be it paint or collage; reflective or inquisitive. As an art educator, Patti views each student as a work of art in progress; seeing her role in their lives as witness to where they are and as a facilitator on their creative journey. As her teaching influences her art; the making of art, in turn, influences how she teaches; one moment in time inevitably touching another.
