Mr. Walters is a self trained woodworker. He learned to use tools early in his dad’s workshop, and crafted a number of furniture items in his home He earned a BS degree at Ursinus College in 1958, and worked in new product design, first in electronics, then in the field of pharmaceutical packaging and drug delivery systems. Ralph began wood lathe work in the 1980’s, joined the American Association of Wood turners and the local chapter, Keystone Wood turners. This has been a valuable resource for skills and ideas. While experimenting in the broad field of woodturnings, he has specialized in hanging ornaments, having found that the most satisfying outlet for the creative drive. Ralph has exhibited at juried shows and local galleries.
