Artist Statement

Rebecca Rohrbach is a studio artist who enjoys working in mixed media including watercolor, sculpture and photography. She has traveled extensively throughout the United States and Canada hiking and fishing resulting in the natural environment contributing a strong influence

in her art work. Although she considers herself an artist-at-large, her primary studio is located in rural southeastern Pennsylvania.

Rebecca states, “The part of the painting development that I enjoy is the collaboration between my ideas and the effect that the medium influences in both the process and finished art work. I depend on the medium to have a hand in the direction of the composition. Allowing the medium, in my case mostly water media, to have a hand in the development of the concept heightens the creative process for me in my art work”.
